Carl Stahl Kromer

Safe workplace design with load retractors

Organize your tools in assembly and production

Kromer load retractors, also known as tool retractors or spring balancers, have an automatic retraction function.  The retracting force of the load spring increases as the rope is pulled out and therefore automatically retracts the attached tool to its initial position. As a result, workplaces in assembly are kept clean and well organized. Kromer load retractors are designed for hand-held tools between 0 -14 kg. The gently increasing spring force of Kromer tool retractors also guarantees precise and fatigue-free work, which protects employees and improves the quality of the work. The possible uses for load retractors in the area of factory equipment are diverse. For example, load retractors are often used to hold cables or have even been integrated into other lifting aids like torque arms.

Load retractors with automatic ratchet lock

Kromer retractor type 7212 and type 7222 are also available with an automatic arresting mechanism (ratchet lock), which can be very useful for special applications. With the automatic ratchet lock, you define a premature retraction stop at certain positions. In this way, loads like power and pneumatic tools are positioned at a desired height. A useful feature, especially for repetitive work in assembly and production. Our tool retractors are used in nearly every manufacturing industry, especially where people work with hand-held power tools and pneumatic tools.
